Red wedding is very popular with Asian Chinese since the Chinese view red as a lucky and auspicious color. Therefore, in the olden days, Chinese brides wear a rich red frock on their wedding day. Think about setting accents of red, white, maroon or your favorite color. The colors in my wedding are white, green, and peach and my girls are in light corals. The guys aren’t crazy about reds but I have to say that a groom in red tie can look very stunning.

For the traditional Chinese, sometimes a pair of dragon and phoenix can be found on a red wedding invitation. Red is the symbol of happiness and ultimate joy, thus the color red is used for all celebrations including Chinese new year and other auspicious occasions.
